This is the home of ALL things related to the Fisher Price PXL-2000 Video Camera! This website is still very new and very much a work in progress but there’s already some good things to be seen around here. I’ve got at least a little something under all the headings now. There’s already some tutorials in place. I’ve got IR Filters up for sale in the shop. I’ve done a few blog posts, and added some info to the archive. I’ve got a few links up as well. Be sure to submit your videos for PXL This 34! (Info in the links section)
In short order, this website will contain the sum of the collected public knowledge that I have gathered and created, including; Fully illustrated and annotated Repair and Modification tutorials, Hi Resolution photos and measurements of accessories and common broken parts, a shop containing aftermarket parts that I’ve both made myself or had made custom, links to all known PXL communities and resources, backups of PXL related video like the TV Commercial and the James Wickstead interview, and more. I hope to provide one place that all PXL enthusiasts can visit for information on this machine that functions both as an endlessly fascinating piece of hardware engineering, and an artistic paintbrush with an undeniably distinct stroke. Currently this information is spread everywhere, and even across time in websites that only happen to have been backed up by the excellent archive.org. I want to put it ALL here.
I have already done most of the heavy lifting. A lot of tutorials are already written, the information I trawled from the depths of the internet has already been trawled. Most of this information just needs to be uploaded here, so keep checking back regularly to see what I’ve added.
